Msinsi Holdings trading as Msinsi Resorts and Game Reserves, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Umgeni Water, and is tasked with managing the water resources and recreational facilities aroundUmgeni Water owned or managed dams.

Hazelmere Dam & Resort
The hidden treasure Hazelmere Dam & Resort is the water sport mecca of the province. This is the perfect location for those who love water sports and fishing. A day’s outing at shady picnic spots on the water’s edge will reward you with sightings of many birds and butterflies to delight. With two shady camping areas, some of which have power points, you can gather around the thatched lapa while cooking your meal in the communal kitchen in the top campsites or enjoy the dam view at the riverside campsites. Forest Lodge, set in a secluded woodland overlooking the dam, sleeps 6 and is fully equipped. Lakeside Lodge, on the shores of the dam, is a 4 sleeper fully equipped cottage.

Shongweni Dam & Game Reserve
African adventure within city limits A mere 30 minutes from Durban lies Shongweni Dam and Game Reserve – a piece of true Africa. From awe-inspiring cliffs and waterfalls, to lush forests and open thorn trees, this game reserve is home to rhino, buffalo, giraffe, waterbuck, wildebeest, warthog, a variety of birds and a host of nocturnal animals. The dam is an excellent venue for overnight camping, game drives, fishing, picnics, nature trails and a variety of non-motorised water sports. Well appointed tented camps, built on stilts and situated right on the water’s edge, offer a unique accommodation experience. Our 8 bed KwaMaphumulo rustic camp beside the dam is ideal for a fishing party to enjoy together. The waterside Ugede Conference Hall accommodates 30 people, offers a relaxing conference / workshop venue.

The exclusive three-star 6 bed Notuli Cottage is the perfect getaway for families, and offers spectacular views of the dam and Karkloof mountains in the background. Bon Accorde Resort
Waterside family comfort Bon Accorde Resort is located on the Eastern shores of Albert Falls Dam & Game Reserve.
